He is active at Genoa Civic Theatre, Bellevue Society for the Arts, and frequently collaborates with Oak Harbor High School as a designer and technical consultant.

Spotlight Production shines on THE LAST FIVE YEARS

FCT’s Spotlight Production THE LAST FIVE YEARS will be presented for just one weekend ONLY, September 26-28.

Fremont Community Theatre and Director Mitchell Antesky present the Drama Desk Award Winning musical “The Last Five Years”, with music, book and lyrics by Jason Robert Brown, the 2014 Tony Award Winner for “The Bridges of Madison County”. This two-person musical explores the five-year relationship of a couple with a bit of a twist in the storytelling.

An emotionally powerful and intimate musical about two New Yorkers in their twenties who fall in and out of love over the course of five years. The show’s unconventional structure consists of Cathy,  telling her story backwards while Jamie, tells his story chronologically; the two characters only meet once, at their wedding in the middle of the show.

The reviews are in!
If you weren’t able to experience opening night, you have two more chances, this weekend only, to see the musical that will leave you moved. Overheard in the lobby after the show… “What a treat to experience this!”

“A BEAUTIFUL PIECE OF THEATRE!”

“That was special!”

“There’s great complexity within it’s simplicity”

“I was just in awe over it from start to finish”

What a moving piece of theater. So glad that you brought it to life for FCT!

Monica Siesel  appears as CATHERINE HIATT: The character arcs from a woman stunned by a betrayal and a divorce that she is only beginning to understand to an ambitious, fresh-faced girl in a new relationship.

Adam Cox fills the role of JAMIE WELLERSTEIN: The character arcs from an ambitious guy on a promising first date with a dazzling career to someone who is blinded by success and ego. He is very lovable, yet makes unintentional choices that sabotages his own happiness.

The live music for this production will also feature a pianist, Ethan Mandeville and a string trio consisting of violin, Hilary Frater; cello, Daleen Askins: and string bass, Mick Wolf.

PLEASE BE AWARE THAT THIS PRODUCTION CONTAINS ADULT LANGUAGE AND SITUATIONS.  Due to licensing agreements with the author, FCT is obligated to perform the script as written.
