Auditions for
“We Are Monsters” 

“We Are Monsters,” a comedic new musical that follows human kids into a monster cabaret filled with quirky monster characters. Winner in the 2013 Children’s Musical Theatre Festival, NYC, the musical is about adventurous humans who uncover vegetarian vampires and rock n’ roll werewolves, gradually realizing there may be more to these monsters than meets the eye. Most importantly these monsters and kids discover the importance of friendship and celebrating the attributes that make each of us different and unique.

We are looking for 35 – max 40 campers to be part of all the fun at Fremont Community Youth Theatre.

Auditions: Jun 3, 2023 2:00 pm – 5:00 pm
Where: Fremont Community Theatre. 
Ages: 8 – 12
Camp Dates:
July 19 Costume Fitting
July 21 Readthrough/ Singthrough
July 24 – Aug 4 – Camp 9:00 – 2:00
Aug 4 – 6 Shows
Audition day will also be registration day.  Please bring a check made out to Fremont Community Theater for $50.00. We will not be able to take credit cards. 

You will get your script at auditions if casted.. You are expected to:
1. Join the Facebook group. (Parent) QR code located with your papers.
2. Be off book and know your music and lines before camp starts. 

In addition to the fee, you will be required to bring lunch each day and get some costume pieces and makeup for your camper. We do this to keep the camp cost down.
Bring with you any conflicts with camp dates.

Also please bring T-Shirt Size -Indicate youth or adult on the size, Hat Size – sm, med, large, Long Pants Size, Summer Short Size, Skirt Size (for girls).
Please indicate if your youth has any allergies to stage or Halloween makeup.

• Encourages KC to find his/her long lost friend

Targoyla
and Fargoyle – Lead – All Genders.
A leader of the werewolves.

• Clear, loud and strong speaking voice
• Ability to rally a crowd
• Strong stage presence
• Look for actors that can hold neutral body position
• FARGOYLE: easily frightened, tries hard to be a good host but more sensitive

Ozzy Lumpa – All Genders.
The monster with a beautiful heart.
• Very strong singer
• Can deliver songs with sincerity
• Unafraid to show vulnerability
• Conviction and inner beauty
• Audience is sympathetic towards him/her
• Oozy has a hard time being a monster
• Delighted when he/she meets a new friend
