The Herdmans are the worst behaved kids in town and the last kids you’d want in your Christmas Pageant. The Sunday they show up to church, you know you’re headed for disaster, especially when they take all the roles. But you might also be in for a big surprise.

THE BEST CHRISTMAS PAGEANT EVER will be presented on December 4-6 and 11-13, 2015 with special permission from Samuel French. Friday and Saturday performances will be held at 8:00 p.m. with Sundays at 2:00 p.m.

Tickets are $15.00; Student/Senior tickets are $12.00; Children under 12 are $6.00.

Fremont Community Theatre (FCT) is pleased and excited to announce the return of its Youth Theatre program for Ages 8-12.

THEATRE CAMP – ALADDIN KIDS!

All of your favorite characters from the hit Disney film – Aladdin, Jasmine, Iago, Jafar, the Genie, and more – are here in Disney’s Aladdin KIDS, a musical adventure filled with magic, mayhem, and flying carpet rides. Specific to Disney’s Aladdin KIDS are the Junior Djinn, a group of unique stage magicians who execute the magical moments of the show. An ensemble of marketplace hawkers, gymnasts, wrestlers, bread-sellers, fishmongers, belly dancers, beggars, cloth vendors, puppeteers, royal guards, royal trumpeters, etc. allows for even more fun!  Disney’s Aladdin KIDS ‘s Academy award-winning score, with songs by Alan Menken, Howard Ashman, and Tim Rice, including “A Whole New World” and “Friend Like Me,” will send audiences soaring.

This commitment by FCT is to provide the youth of the area with exposure to the arts, educating them in a safe setting while building self-confidence, various social skills, and the opportunity to realize their talent in theatre arts.  Participation will prepare budding young performers for their advancement to membership with the premier area teen theatre program, Fremont Community Teen Theatre (FCTT) for ages 13-19, and eventually to joining the rich history of 60 years of FCT’s main stage productions.

FCT is dedicated to being More than a Stage in Your Life.

In this 10-day, 30-hour camp, participants learn the fundamentals of theatrical performance, including creating a character, vocal performance, movement on stage, improvisation, and more!  This camp is designed to provide a solid theatrical introduction for children, as well as challenge the more seasoned youth.  This year will feature a short musical that is rehearsed over the course of the camp, and presented three times at the end of the camp for an audience of family, friends and the general public.

  • Theatre Camp is limited to 40 campers aged 8-12.
  • Auditions for major singing/speaking roles are Friday, July 10 and Saturday, July 11.  Times will be provided upon registration completion.
  • The cast will be announced Monday, July 13.
  • Sessions will run Monday – Friday, July 27-31 and August 3-7, 2015.
  • Daily Sessions are 9 am – noon.
  • Productions on Friday, August 7 and Saturday, August 8 at 7:00 pm and Sunday, August 9 at 2:00 pm, each following a brief performance by the Magic Camp participants.
  • Tickets for performances are: $8.00 for adults; $5.00 for students.

Camp cost is $80.00 per child, which includes:

  • All materials needed (script, parent’s book, costumes, makeup, etc.)
  • A light snack each session
  • Youth Theatre Camp T-Shirt
  • 2 admissions to the production

MAGIC CAMP

Magician Floyd Collins will be returning to lead Magic Camp again this year, teaching the fundamentals of creating and performing magic as an additional workshop.

Those enrolled in Magic Camp will stay after Theatre Camp practice from 12:30 to 1:30 pm (after lunch, provided by parents please) each of the ten days.

Magic Camp cost is $10.00 as an add-on to Aladdin Kids, or $25.00 for students who are not participating in Aladdin Kids.  This covers the cost of magic supplies.

Magic Camp is limited to 12 campers ages 9-12.
